I found this movie to be violent, gut-wrenching with an eerie sense of calm on the surface—which makes it more scary. The Coen brothers really did a good job of adapting Cormac McCarthy’s 2005 novel… pero hindi ko pa rin mashadong nagustuhan ito. I watched the film to see the bad guy. Yun lang talaga.Javier Bardem who played the crazy murderer Chigurh, was so totally awesome that I would’ve watched the entire thing again to see just how bad-ass he is. Fantastic performance, bravo. Galing pa ng pneumatic gun nya! haha!
Tommy Lee Jones’s character, Sheriff Bell was the all around American good guy who gives incredibly mind-numbing monologues (ho-hum). I know there was supposed to be a lot of wisdom and philosophical shit in what he said but I couldn’t concentrate really on anything that came out of his mouth. Watching Jones’ pock-marked face while talking for several looonnnnggg minutes almost made me want to throw popcorn at him. Boring.
Josh Brolin took on the role of the stupid but pitiful Llewellyn Moss. He’s so dumb that he thinks he can get away stealing $2m from Mexican drug dealers! Everything that happened to him is all his fault! lol!
I give this movie 3 popcorn bits.

no country for old men is unassumingly clever…
dumbfounding form a moral angle, but that can be a good thing.
